It\'s NEVER too late to Start Walking!

By Sharon McShurley, Mayor of Muncie

It's never too late to start walking, exercising, and cutitng calories, all in an attempt to get healthier.  If you carry extra weight around the middle or don't exercise, you're at higher risk for cardiovascular disease.

Use the Cardinal Greenway, the Muncie Mall, the BSU arena, and our city sidewalks to start or continue a walking regimen.  Walking is perhaps the most affordable exercise available.  A good pair of walking shoes is all you need to get started.

This fall, enjoy the White River corridor area and walk along the White River.  Wear a pedometer to count your steps, and decrease your calories for better health.

Keep walking.  Your heart will be glad you did!
