Participate in a work group planning and implementing initiatives (Average time commitment: 2-3 hours/month)

eliminating poverty

promoting healthy living through walking and other community initiatives that promote exercise and better diet for children and families 

linking community citizens with opportunities to serve on local boards and commissions

Work occasionally to support a special event (Average time commitment varies as little as two hours a year to three full days a year, or depending on activity)

• walking activities, health fairs (registration, passing out info)
• miscellaneous community symposiums where people gather to talk about issues (registration, serving refreshments, etc.)
• periodic office work (usually no more than one time per month)
